The hotel is in a very convenient location within walking distance of the seafront promenade and a shopping centre with a good supermarket. The staff were very courteous. On our last day we had an early flight so they packed us a take away breakfast.

The most enjoyable in the hotel was the friendly staff. I never felt like "in a hotel", but more like "going home every night" to the people I like. On top of that, a clean and spacious room, excellent breakfast and great location in the center. Thanks to Artur and Leticia for making my stay memorable!

The staff was very friendly and attentive, the breakfast was delicious (especially the fresh fruit!) and the hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The room/apartment was quite spacious as well and the location close to the old town was great. Even though we didn't cook, we appreciated having the kitchen to prepare tea and snacks.

Good location, almost in downtown Funchal. Several restaurants and shops nearby. Kind staff, willing to help. Quick response and follow-up on some defects which I reported. Good breakfast.

The location for breakfast was comfortable and the food provided was more than enough to set us up for the day. Leticia, in particular, provided a friendly, welcoming and chatty companion during our stay.

I recently stayed at the Funchal Design Hotel and had a great experience. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made me feel very welcome. The breakfast was also very good with a wide variety of options to choose from.

Excellent customer service. All staff members were fantastic - we had an early morning flight and got our breakfast packed to take with us. Really loved our room - spacious, nicely decorated with little kitchenette and lots of space for clothes. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel is perfectly located in the very close proximity to all attractions in the town.

Staff amazing and funny, location nice (7 minutes from beach), rooms good size, shopping centre and nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast was nice. Spacious cupboards. Rooms were clean, modern and had nice views.

- Great place near old town (plenty of good restaurants) - La Vie shopping center nearby - Easily accessible from airport - Great job by cleaning lady
