Excellent customer service. All staff members were fantastic - we had an early morning flight and got our breakfast packed to take with us. Really loved our room - spacious, nicely decorated with little kitchenette and lots of space for clothes. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel is perfectly located in the very close proximity to all attractions in the town.

I recently stayed at the Funchal Design Hotel and had a great experience. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made me feel very welcome. The breakfast was also very good with a wide variety of options to choose from.

The room/apartment was quite spacious as well and the location close to the old town was great. Even though we didn't cook, we appreciated having the kitchen to prepare tea and snacks.
